8th Forum of Polish Mathematicians

Forum of Polish Mathematicians is a cyclical meeting of mathematicians working both in Poland and abroad, dealing with a variety of scientific subjects. An event that fosters the exchange of ideas and discussions about the current tasks of contemporary mathematics is an opportunity to debate the problems of the mathematical environment in Poland.

ASC17 Supercomputing Championship

A six-member team of students from Warsaw working under the supervision of our collegue Maciej Cytowski competed in ASC17 Supercomputing Championship - the World's Largest Supercomputing Hackathon, a prestigious tournament for young enthusiasts interested in creating software for supercomputers. Warsaw Team took second prize in High Performance Linpack (HPL), category getting result 29.79 TFlop/s on a system composed of four Inspur servers each of them equipped with two processors Intel Broadwell and two Nvidia P100 cards.

Traces of women in mathematics

Conference "Traces of women in mathematics - the centenary of the birth of Professor Rasiowa" is the first of a series of conferences which aim to promote the achievements and merits of women, whose research, professional activities and publications have made a significant contribution to the growth of Polish science, especially mathematics and related sciences.
